Environment Canada says the warm humid air mass ahead of an approaching cold front could bring heavy rain and scattered thundershowers to much of Nova Scotia.
They have issued a special weather statement, and say Halifax could get 30-40 millimetres of rain.
But they say if the cold front draws in the moisture ahead of Hurricane Maria, some areas could over 50 millimetres.
They warn water pooling on some roads and highways could be an issue.
