Macdonald Bridge bike lane and sidewalk now open

The long wait for pedestrians and cyclists needing to cross the harbour is finally over.
Halifax Harbour Bridges says the sidewalk and bike lane of the Macdonald Bridge are now open.
However they do warn the bridge is still a construction zone, so be aware of workers and some narrowing of the lanes if you plan on using them.
HHB says the lanes will be closed when the bridge is, the shuttle service will still be operating during those times.
The sidewalk and bike lane were shut down almost two years ago for the Big Lift project.
