Police investigate attempted murder after shots fired into north end home

Two people were escaped injury when someone fired a gun into a north end Halifax home.

Halifax Regional Police say the shots were heard around 11:20 p.m. Sunday night.

The owner of the house at Duffus Street and Jarvis Lane told police two people and a dog were in a lower bedroom when the shots were fired, they were not hurt, but a bullet just grazed the dog’s neck.

The suspect was seen running north, police searched the area but could not locate him.

There’s only a vague description of the suspect, police saying it was a man wearing all black.
