"Statistically tied": Liberals, PC's in tight race, according to new poll

HALIFAX – It’s not over until it’s over.

A new poll from Forum Research finding the Progressive Conservatives have stormed back, now sitting at 35 per cent support to the Liberal’s 37 per cent, a statistical tie according to the Toronto-based firm.

The poll pegs the NDP at having the support of 25 per cent of respondents.

Individually, the numbers are even worse for Premier Stephen McNeil. Forum Research finding more than six in 10 people surveyed disapprove of his job as leader of the province.

Both PC Leader Jamie Baillie and NDP Leader Gary Burril are both enjoying the support of one-third of respondents, while also seeing disapproval from a similar portion.

“The premier is very unpopular right now, and that could be why we are seeing such a dip in the Liberal numbers, right now,” said Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, President of Forum Research.

The firm says were a vote to happen today, the Liberals would likely form a minority government.
