Police looking for driver involved in pedestrian hit and run

Halifax Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a driver involved in a hit a run earlier this week.

According to police a 13-year-old female was hit in a cross walk at the intersection of Robie Street and Lady Hammond Road just before 9 a.m on Monday April 10.

The pedestrian has described the car as long and silver, and the driver is described as a white man in his late twenties to early forties with short brown hair and tattoos on his arms.

Police said the driver did stop and asked if the girl was okay but did not provide any of his information before leaving the scene. The girl suffered injuries but did not require medical attention.
