Gas prices not expected to change much this week in Nova Scotia

HALIFAX – Not much change expected for gas prices across Nova Scotia.

Our newsroom is predicting that when regulated prices are adjusted at midnight, prices will remain in the 102.0 range.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells NEWS 95.7 costs remained steady this week as refineries begin the switch over from winter diesel production to gas.

“Seeing a little bit of a draw down on gasoline inventory, but we’re still seeing a low refiner capacity,” said Murphy. “In other words, some refineries are shut down and doing maintenance getting ready to change over to the summer production of gasoline.”

Across the border in New Brunswick prices fell slightly, lowering the maximum price to 106.4.
