Mooseheads fall on the road, lose 5-3 to Sea Dogs

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Halifax Mooseheads fall on the road, losing to the Saint John Sea Dogs 5-3 on Sunday.

The Mooseheads gave up a goal midway through the first period, but came back to take a 2-1 lead heading into the second with help from Maxime Fortier and Keigan Goetz.

Jake Coughler lit the lamp midway through the second period, but the Sea Dogs played far more efficiently, scoring three more goals to make it 4-3 Saint John heading into the final period.

Saint John managed to squeeze in one more goal with less than a minute left in the game, giving the Sea Dogs a 5-3 win.

On Wednesday, the Mooseheads return to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs again.
