Teen arrested after vehicle stolen from Canada Games Centre

A teen boy will be in Halifax Youth Court today after a car was reported stolen in Clayton Park Tuesday night.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the Canada Games Centre around 10:00 p.m. when they noticed a vehicle heading along Glenforest Drive without headlights on.

Police say when an officer tried to pull the car over, it sped off.

They say the car was then seen failing to stop and a stop sign before pulling into an address on Willett Street.

Police arrested a 17-year-old who has been charged with theft over $5000.00, possession over $5000.00, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and breach of court orders.
