HRM offers day camps during Friday's teachers' strike

Some recreation centres in Halifax Regional Municipality will be offering day camps for children as teachers across the province hold a one-day strike.

Municipal recreation staff will have games, crafts and outdoor activities, children should bring nut-free snacks, lunch, water, winter clothing and indoor footwear.

Parents can register by phone, internet, or in person.

The fee is $25 per child, space is limited and openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
