Man and woman found dead in Dartmouth duplex, foul play not suspected

HALIFAX – Regional Police are investigating after a man and woman were found dead in a Dartmouth duplex.

Police were called to the home on Marilyn Drive in the Southdale subdivision of Dartmouth, around 8:30 a.m. today for a medical-related emergency.

Police say the two people, who are believed to be in their fifties, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution.

Police say there is no evidence to suggest foul play but the investigation is ongoing.

A forensic identification unit, the medical examiner and the provincial Labour Department are exploring the circumstances surrounding the couple’s death.
