Mooseheads double up on Foreurs, win 6-3 on the road

VAL-D’OR, QUE. – The Halifax Mooseheads double up on the Val-d’Or Foreurs, winning 6-3 on the road Saturday night.
The first period was all Halifax as Nico Hischier and Maxime Fortier each lit the lamp, giving the Herd a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.
Things started to take a turn for the worst in second period, with Maxim Mizyurin, Julien Gauthier and François Beauchemin all scoring less than 10 minutes into the second period, giving the Foreurs a 3-2 lead.
It wasn’t long before the Mooseheads were able to tie things up as Brett Crossley netted his second goal of the season at 5:38 of the second period.
Cooper Jones scored the tie breaker, giving the Mooseheads the 4-3 lead at 7:05 of the third period.
Connor Moynihan and Hischier helped seal the deal for Halifax, scoring the final goals of the evening, giving the Mooseheads the 6-3 victory.
On Friday, the Mooseheads return to the Scotiabank Centre as they welcome the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
