Paint scraper used in gas station robbery

Halifax Regional Police say a man armed with an unusual weapon robbed a Dartmouth gas station.

They say the suspect went into the Petro Canada on Portland Street near Baker Drive just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police say he pulled out a paint scraper and demanded money and cigarettes.

He’s described as white, 5’9″ and slim.  He was wearing a red parka with fur around the hood.
