Police investigate explosion, small fire in Spryfield wooded-area

SPRYFIELD – Regional Police are investigating after the circumstances surrounding a small fire in a wooded-area in Spryfield Sunday evening that’s believed to have been caused by a small explosion.

Officers were called to assist Halifax Fire crews with a small fire on River Road off of Herring Cove Road around 7:15 p.m., where residents reported a small explosion had happened before the fire started.
