Nova Scotia gas prices expected to fall this week

HALIFAX – After two straight weeks of increases, Nova Scotia drivers can expect a reprieve at gas pump this week.

News 95.7 predicts when regulated prices are reset at midnight that they will fall by about two cents per litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells News 95.7 the market has been in a state of flux all week.

“I have not seen this much volatlitily…since the days of Katrina and Rita, the hurricanes,” Murphy said.

“One day you’re looking at it’s $2 up, the next you’re looking at it and it’s $1.50 down.”

In New Brunswick on Thursday morning, prices slipped by 2.6 cents per litre, moving the maximum price down to $1.04/L.
