Halifax police have one suspect in custody after a woman was robbed in Dartmouth Thursday afternoon.
Two men approached the victim — a 32-year-old woman — on Jackson Road, pulled her into a wooded area and took her purse.
With the help of a K-9 unit, police found the woman’s purse, and then tracked down a 44-year-old man matching the description of one of the suspects nearby at about 12:45 p.m.
On Thursday evening, the suspect was being interviewed by police. Police spokesperson Cst. Dianne Woodworth said just before 5 p.m. she didn’t know how long the interview would take.
A second suspect hasn’t been found.
The woman was not injured, and police say the investigation is on-going.
