Police again looking for a man who approached a young girl

For the second time in two days, Halifax police are looking to speak with a man who approached a young girl.

Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, a 9-year-old girl was walking on Greystone Drive by Orange Walk when a man pulled up next to her, rolled down the passenger window, and offered her a drive to school.

The girl turned down the offer, and immediately ran away to tell an adult what had happened.

She was not injured or assaulted, and police were notified later Tuesday afternoon.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his twenties, and say he was driving a small black car. They say they’d like to speak with him.

On Monday, police reported a similar incident in the Kearney Lake Road area.
