Police investigate gas station robbery

Halifax police are investigating the robbery of a gas station on Bayers Road Friday morning.

Just after 9 a.m., police were called to the Petro Canada at 7015 Bayers Road, where two young men had told the clerk they had weapons and demanded cash.

The pair got away with some lottery tickets and cash on foot up Bayers Road.

The gas station clerk was not injured, and never actually saw a weapon.

Both suspects are described as slim white men in their late teens. One was wearing a grey hoodie, a black baseball hat, red gloves and black, striped sweatpants, and had a tattoo on the side of his face. The other was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and a red, hooded jacket, and had a tattoo by his left eye.

Police say they’re in the early stages of their investigation, and ask anyone with tips to call them or Crime Stoppers.
