Halifax police are requesting public assistance in finding an urn stolen from a backyard in Halifax over the Halloween weekend.
Police received a call November 5 from a homeowner on Summit St. saying an urn containing a family member’s ashes had been taken from the back patio.
The urn resembles a Greek column, is two and a half feet tall, gray, and has a brass sundial on top engraved with the name of the family member, “November 6, 1942 – June 6, 2002” and the words “Daughter, be of good comfort: Thy faith hath made.”
Police ask anyone with information to call them, or Crime Stoppers.
