Regional Police have charged a 34-year-old man with falsely reporting a robbery.
It happened just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, when police received a call about an armed robbery.
The man who called said another man had just robbed him of his wallet at knife-point.
When police arrived, they determined the two men had been in an argument about the sale of a used car.
They say the 34-year-old made up the robbery in order to draw a faster police response.
The man has been released, and will appear in court at a later date on a charge of mischief.
