RCMP investigate after boy, 15, stabbed on pathway near local high school

HALIFAX – RCMP in the Halifax area say they’re investigating a stabbing that happened near a high school today.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was stabbed on a pathway near Cole Harbour District High School around 2 p.m.

Cpl. Scott MacRae tells News 95.7 the boy is not a student at the school.

“We have to continue to interview witnesses and conduct our investigation to see where it takes us,” said MacRae.

The Mounties say officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have information.

Meanwhile, Sackville High School was locked down for 40 minutes today after a student received a threat from someone outside of the school.

Halifax Regional School Board spokesperson Doug Hadley tells News 95.7 no one was hurt, and police are investigating.
