St. Pat’s sale remains on hold until June

The sale of the surplus St. Patricks-Alexandra School property is still on hold, and a judge says it will stay that way until late spring.

Community groups in North End Halifax have been trying to get another shot at bidding on the property that the city decided to sell to a private developer.

A judge hearing the case issued a temporary stay of the sale, and Reverend Rhonda Britton says that stay has been extended until June to make time for a full judicial inquiry of how the city did or did not follow its own policies in deciding to sell to JONO Developments.
