BATHURST, N.B. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan handed the Halifax Mooseheads their worst loss of the season, shutting the Herd out 9-0 at the Centre régional K.C. Irving on Friday night.
It was a long night for the Mooseheads, as they gave up five goals in the first period, with Zachary Malatesta, Antoine Morand, Jeffrey Truchon-Viel, Jordan Maher and Vladimir Kuznetsov each scoring for the Titan.
The second period saw more of the same, with Kuznetsov completing the hat trick to make it 7-0 going into the third.
Rodrigo Abols lit the lamp and Kuznetsov scored his fourth in the final period to seal the deal for the Titan, giving them an impressive 9-0 victory.
On Saturday, the Mooseheads return to the Scotiabank Centre to welcome the Charlottetown Islanders.
