Mooseheads lose to the Titan 11-10 at home

HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads fall at home, losing 11-10 to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The first period saw seven goals scored between the two teams, with Nico Hischier, Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Anthony Sorrentino and Jared McIsaac all scoring to give the Herd a 4-3 lead at the end of the period.

The Titan bounced back early in the second, scoring two goals in less than two minutes.

But it wouldn’t be long before Connor Moynihan, Max Fortier, and Hischier helped Halifax retake the lead.

Christophe Boivin closed the gap for the Titan, but Bradley Kennedy quickly responded giving the Mooseheads a two goal cushion going into the third period.

However in the final period, the Titan outscore the Herd five goals to Halifax’s two, giving them the 11-10 victory.

The two squads will face off again on Tuesday at the Centre régional K.C. Irving.
