Three people facing charges after Halifax drug busts

HALIFAX – Two men and a woman face multiple charges after Halifax Regional Police executed three drug searches in the city Thursday.

Police say at 1:30 p.m., a 29-year-old male was arrested outside a home on Lucknow St. in Halifax’s south end. Following a search of the man, police seized quantities of hydromorphone, marijuana and a cellphone.

Search warrants were then executed at three separate residences–one on Lucknow St., one on Rhuland St. in Lower Sackville and one on Almon St. in the city’s north end. Those searches turned up quantities of crack cocaine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, hash, marijuana, fentanyl pills, and other unidentifiable drugs. Police also seized drug paraphernalia, a number of firearms, ammunition and a number of stolen electronics.

The 29-year-old Halifax man faces multiple drug and weapons-related charges.

A 26-year-old Lower Sackville man arrested at the Rhuland St. residence faces charges of possession of cocaine, breaching a probation order and breaching of a recognizance.

A 34-year-old Halifax woman who turned herself into police Thursday faces charges several drug-related charges.

Police say other charges relating to the stolen goods are still pending

All remain in police custody and appeared in Halifax Provincial Court Friday.
