RCMP respond to two bomb threats early Sunday morning

HALIFAX – RCMP are investigating two bomb threats from early Sunday morning.

The Mounties first received a call at 1:26 a.m., an anonymous male claimed to be in the parking lot of Cole Harbour Place with bombs and a hunting rifle, but officers found nothing suspicious.

At 2:17 a.m. RCMP got an automated message from another anonymous person who told officers there was a bomb at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Again, nothing suspicious was found by police.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police of crime stoppers.
