HALIFAX – Regional Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing of woman at a Dartmouth hotel on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the Holiday Inn at Wyse Road just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, where they found a 22-year-old woman in a hallway of the hotel suffering from stab wounds to her back and chest.
She was taken to hospital with what police called non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect and the woman were known to each other and he fled the scene before police arrived.
A 22-year-old man was later arrested at a residence on School Avenue in Halifax, according to police, who say he is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth court Thursday to face charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
