HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Municipality has announced the appointment of former Moncton, N.B. city manager Jacques Dubé as its new Chief Administrative Officer.
In a release, HRM said Dubé brings more than 30 years of “senior-level experience from all levels of government.”
“We had a strong list of candidates, both locally and nationally,” Mayor Mike Savage said in the release. “I think Jacques will help us strengthen our communities and drive economic growth for the Halifax region.”
Mayor Savage and seven regional councillors took part in the search and hiring process with the aid of Organization Consulting Limited.
Dubé will assume his new role Sept. 12.
