Pedestrian taken to hospital after struck by car, charges pending

HALIFAX – A 35-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries Sunday afternoon after being struck by a car in downtown Halifax.

Regional Police said the incident happened at the intersection of Sackville Street and Brunswick Street just before 12:30 p.m. as the pedestrian was crossing the street.

The woman was transported by paramedics to the QE2 for treatment of her injuries and police said the investigation is ongoing but charges are pending against the 62-year-old female driver.
