Gas prices stay put in Nova Scotia, diesel slightly down

HALIFAX – There was no change recorded at Nova Scotia gas pumps this week.
The provincial regulator decided to the leave prices for regular self-serve at 95 cents per litre for a second straight week.
A small drop was recorded in diesel prices with regulated prices falling 1.2 cents per litre overnight to a new minimum price of 89 c/L.
One year ago Friday, Nova Scotians were paying $1.18/L for gas, $1.01/L for diesel and oil was selling on the markets at $50.99 US per barrel, just over $6 more than Thursday’s closing price of $44.36 US per barrel.
