Halifax expected to see humid temperatures this week

HALIFAX – After a bit of a cool stretch, Halifax is experiencing a bit of temperature change Tuesday with hot and sticky temperatures expected to stick around for at least a few days.

News 95.7’s Meteorologist Richard Zurawski said its the result of some serious humidity moving into the region.

“A little inland the high is around 27 degrees and it could be around 30 degrees in the valley,” Zurawski said. “But we’ve got some high relative humidity values and the humidex values will come in the low to mid 30’s so it’s going to feel very warm and sticky.”

Zurawski said the next three or four days will hover in the same area, which are expected to be well above normal.

It could be worse, according to Zurawski, as Southern Ontario through Quebec is under a heat warning with humidex values expected in the low-40’s.
