Border agency seizes 12 stolen vehicles destined for export from Halifax port

HALIFAX – The Canada Border Services Agency says it has seized 12 stolen vehicles that were to be exported from the port of Halifax.

The agency says it seized three shipments of stolen vehicles at the port over the last month.

Officers working with the Halifax export unit found two stolen vehicles in a container destined for export last month.

On June 1, two more containers were inspected and found to have six stolen vehicles.

Nine days later, four more stolen vehicles were found in two shipments.

The vehicles were transferred to Halifax police, who are investigating.
