Head-on crash sends three to hospital

A 75-year-old woman has been taken to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash.

Police say around 8:25 p.m. Monday, her northbound Toyota Tercel crossed over the centre line of Barrington Street, slamming into a black Mazda 6 that had just crossed over the MacKay Bridge.

A 25-year-old man and 23-year-old woman in the Mazda also themselves to hospital as a precaution.

Police will make a decision on charges after they’re finished investigating.

All streets in that area have now reopened.
