Police looking for car in relation to Joseph Cameron murder

HALIFAX – Investigators probing the homicide of Joseph Cameron in Dartmouth last month are appealing to the public for more information and have released a picture of a car that may have been in the area around the time of the shooting.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Mount Edward Road and Spring Avenue in Dartmouth around 5:20 a.m. March 29, where Cameron, 20, was found dead on a sidewalk.

On Friday, police said they would like to speak with anyone who may have seen a dark blue Kia Rondo, model year 2012, in the area sometime between midnight and 5:20 a.m. the morning of the shooting.

A week ago Friday, officers were canvassing the neighbourhood where Cameron was killed, distributing flyers in a bid to get more information in the murder.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.

No arrests have been made in connection to the case and police have not said if they have any suspects in the killing.
