Man beaten with pipe by stranger in Cole Harbour

COLE HARBOUR, N.S. – Halifax District RCMP are looking for more information after a man was beaten with a pipe in Cole Harbour late Thursday.
Police say a 36-year-old Cole Harbour man was walking on Ashley Drive just before 10 p.m. when he was approached by another man who asked him for a “light”.
As he was looking in his pocket for his lighter he was struck in the face with a metal bar by the man He was continually struck before the suspect left the area on foot.
Investigators say the victim sustained unspecified injuries and was taken by ambulance to Dartmouth General Hospital.
The suspect is described as white, 5’10” tall, about 25 years old, with blondish hair.
