What’s open and closed on Monday?

Provincial government offices, schools, and most businesses will be closed on Nova Scotia Heritage Day Monday, that includes local grocery stores, malls and NSLC locations.

Federal government offices and places like banks, airlines and railways will be open.

Halifax Transit will be operating on a holiday schedule and on-street meter parking will be free of charge

There will be no curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables Monday, residents will have to put their solid waste out at the curb Friday night for collection Saturday.

The Emera Oval is hosting a special family event  from 1 to 3 p.m. on Heritage Day.

NEWS 95.7 will be operating on a weekend/holiday schedule.

And the Macdonald Bridge will stay open most of the weekend, with regular evening closures resuming Sunday at 7 p.m.
