HALFIAX — RCMP are investigating an attempted child abduction in Eastern Passage Thursday.
Police say at approximately 6:45 a.m., two girls, ages 10 and 13, were waiting at a bus stop at the corner of Ashwood Court and Rosewood Lane.
They say a small burgendy pick-up truck pulled over, driven by a man in his 50’s. The man asked the girls if they had seen his black dog, and then asked them to go with him in the truck to find it.
The girls declined as their school bus was arriving and the man drove away.
He’s described as an older white male with greyish hair and stubble on his chin. He was wearing a ball cap, blue jeans and a navy blue sweater at the time.
