Nova Scotia Power to issue company recall of LED lights

HALIFAX – Nova Scotia Power says it will will be issuing a company recall of the LED lights that were handed out at Saturday evening’s Parade of Lights.

The company promises more information will be coming Tuesday on how it will administer the recall, which also includes an incentive for customers to return the LED lights.

Nova Scotia Power says in a released statement that it’s committed to the safety of all customers and wants to do everything is can to collect lights that were handed out over the weekend.

Monday’s recall comes after the IWK Health Centre reported Monday of two incidents of young children ingesting the batteries which are used to power the light’s LED flashers.
