Speeding driver caught with drugs, weapon

HALIFAX — A 20-year-old man from Windsor is facing charges after police seized drugs and a weapon during a traffic stop.
At about 7:45 a.m. Thursday, police pulled over the man for speeding on Highway 101 in Middle Sackville.
Upon further investigation, police discovered the man had an undisclosed amount of cocaine, marijuana and a set of brass knuckles.
The man is facing two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He has been since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on November 25.
