HALIFAX — Police are warning the public to inspect their candy following a possible tampering incident in Halifax.
They say a woman called police on October 9 when she discovered a paper clip in her candy as she bit into a Maynards Sour Cherry Blaster.
The candy came from a bag she purchased at a convenience store in the Dickson Center Hospital on October 7.
The woman was not injured and the incident was reported to the Cadbury Company.
Police say if you ever find a foreign object in your food, it’s best to keep it so they can pass the items along to investigators.
