Man, woman assaulted during Herring Cove Road robbery

HALIFAX – Regional police are looking for two suspects after a man and woman were robbed early Friday morning on Herring Cove Road.
Police said a 22-year-old woman and 21-year old-man were walking on Herring Cove Road near Sylvia Avenue around 1 a.m. on Friday, when they were approached from behind by two black males who demanded their cell phones.
The man was struck in the back, and the woman was punched in the face before one of their cell phones were stolen.
Both were taken to hospital for assessment.
The suspects are described as black males, between 15 and 20 years old, wearing black clothing.
