Timo Meier returns to Mooseheads lineup

HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads have some of their offensive punch back in the lineup as Timo Meier returns to the ranks.

The 9th overall draft pick in last year’s NHL entry draft returned to Halifax on Monday, after spending the last month at training camp with the San Jose Sharks.

Meier’s scoring touch is well-known around the QMJHL after a big season last year saw the forward score 44 goals and add 46 assists, some of which came during a thrilling 27-game scoring streak.

The newly minted captain will join his teammates as they hit the road for a contest against Sherbrooke on Friday night, with puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m.

Due to a conflict with Blue Jays baseball, you can listen to the game online at News957.com
