Maple Leafs fans invited to community BBQ as training camp wraps up

It’s the final day of Maple Leafs training camp at Bedford’s BMO Centre, and the team is inviting fans to a community barbecue at noon.

Thousands of fans have lined up to get into see the team this weekend, many even camping out overnight for their chance to get into the arena.

Originally, it was announced only 400 tickets would be sold per day, but organizers were able to add extra capacity to stretch that number to about 700.

All proceeds from the $5 ticket sales will be donated to KidSport Nova Scotia.

This is the first time the team has held part of their camp outside of Ontario since 2001.

Maple Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello told NEWS 95.7 the hospitality and fan support they’ve received from Nova Scotians has been fantastic.
