Interrupter clause used to drop gas prices

There has been a significant drop in the price of gas today.

The UARB has invoked its interrupter clause to slash the price by 5.1 cents, moving the cost of regular self-serve to a new minimum of 103.0.

The price of diesel is not affected.

The clause is used to respond to sudden and significant spikes, up or down, in petroleum product prices.

It was last used to adjust the price of gas in February.
