Man taken to hospital after hot water thrown on face, neck

HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police are looking for a suspect after a man was burned with hot water while he was sleeping.

Officers responded to the assault call after 10:30 a.m. on Barrington Street, between Cogswell and Cornwallis, when they found the victim with burns to his face and neck area.

A 25-year-old man had allegedly poured hot water on the other man, and then fled the area.

The victim was taken to the QE2 Health Science Centre where he was treated, while police could not locate the suspect.

They said they’re investigation is ongoing.
