It was another medal filled day for Nova Scotia’s athletes at the Pan Am Games in Toronto Tuesday.

Fall River’s Michelle Russell continues to make trips to the podium scoring another medal, this one a silver, in the women’s K1 200 metre event.

Dartmouth’s Jason McCoombs also won a medal yesterday, taking silver in the men’s C1 200 metres.

Ellie Black continues to have a dominating performance in gymnastics.  The Halifax resident added a bronze yesterday in vault to the silver and gold she has already won at the games.

Today, Black has a shot at a 4th medal in the balance beam event.

Other Nova Scotians competing today include Danielle Boyd and Erin Rafuse in sailing, Nkem Ezurike in soccer and Jason Sanford in softball.
