Tropical Storm Claudette to brush Nova Scotia

HALIFAX – Tropical Storm Claudette will brush Nova Scotia Tuesday but it looks like Halifax will escape the rain.

News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski said Claudette will stay to the south, which means we’ll escape the showers today

“Few clouds this afternoon and this evening but we’ll miss the rain and there’s not much in the way of wind gusting to 40 or km/h,” Zurawski said.

“It’s main impact in Canada will be in the southern waters, offshore, and in Newfoundland.

The Canadian Hurricane Centre is also warning of surge waves of two to three metres and rip currents along the eastern shore of Nova Scotia that could affect swimmers.
