Ancer wins Nova Scotia Open at Ashburn in playoff

FALL RIVER, N.S. – Mexico’s Abraham Ancer birdied a playoff hole to win the Nova Scotia Open at Ashburn Golf and Country Club on Sunday.

Ancer and American Bronson Burgoon both birdied the 18th hole to force the playoff.

Burgoon hit a par on the hole.

Ancer and were part of a Web.com Tour record six players to be tied for the leading heading in to the final round.

At one point in the final round, Americans Jason Allred and Travis Bertoni, along with South Korean D.H. Lee were in the clubhouse lead with at -12, before Ancer and Burgoon both dropped birdies on the final hole.
