Gas prices drop in Nova Scotia

HALIFAX – You will save a few cents filling up the car heading in to the first weekend of July.

The provincial regulator used it’s weekly adjustment to drop the price of gasoline by 1.3 cents, bringing the minimum price down to 117.1.

The price of diesel had a smaller decline, dropping 7-10ths of a cent at midnight, to a minimum price of 105.3.

One year ago we were paying $1.37 for a litre of regular self-serve while diesel was selling at $1.32.

Oil sold on the markets at $103.98 U.S. per barrel, just over $47 per barrel more than Thursday’s closing price of $56.68.
