Police continue to look for cyclist one year after disappearance

RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of a man who went missing while cycling in the Spider Lake area, off Waverley Road, one year ago.

On May 29th, 2014, 30-year-old Marty Leger when off mountain biking by himself, family members went looking for him after he failed to return home.

Leger’s vehicle was found parked near the Spider Lake trail system.

A extensive multi-day search through dense forest and over rough terrain by police, K9 units, Ground Search and Rescue, Joint Task Force Atlantic and the Department of Natural Resources failed to find a trace of Leger.

At the time of his disappearance, Leger was described as 6 feet tall, 260 pounds with short hair, a beard and a moustache.
