Gas goes up overnight

There has been a small increase in the price of gas in Nova Scotia this morning.

The provincial regulator used its weekly adjustment to raise the price of gasoline by 1.3 cents a litre to a new minimum price of 117.5.

A small decrease also overnight in the price of diesel, fuel prices dropped by 7/10ths of a cent to a new minimum price of 108.1.

One year ago, drivers were paying $1.37 for a litre of gasoline and $1.33 for diesel.

Oil was trading on the markets at $95.90 U.S. per barrel, just under $38 more than yesterday’s closing price of $58.07.
